How to install mirror heating

Mirror heating is a simple and invisible solution to steamy mirrors. A heating mat is fitted behind the mirror and heats the mirror to eliminate the effects of the temperature difference.

You can set up the mirror heating to switch on togeher with the bathroom light . Mirror heating consumes no more energy than a standard 60W light bulb.
Step 1
Measure the mirror, and mark the intended position on the wall.
Step 2
Fit flexo piping in the wall, form the location of the mirror to the nearest junction box.
Step 3
Use a notched trowel to cover the area you have marked with tile adhesive. Use tile adhesive that will not attack the galss of the mirror - ask your DIY outlet for advice.

Step 4
Press the mirror heating mat into the tile adhesive so that is is fixed firmly and evenly. Then cover the mat with an even layer of tile adhesive.
Step 5
Run the heating mat supply line through the flexo piping and lead it up to the junction box.

Step 6
you can now choose to fit the mirror directly on the tile adhesive, or wait until the tile adhesive dries and use acid-free silicone
Step 7
For an even more attractive finish, tile the wall all the way up to the edge of the mirror so that the tiles are flush with the mirror surface.
Remember: The tile adhesive you use must be approved for fitting mirrors.
