Linoleum

Linoleum is a practical natural product that is especially suitable for homes. Many people choose a linoleum floor because it is easy to keep clean, is allergy friendly and dampens sound.

At the same time, it is suitable for use with underfloor heating.

A maximum floor temperature of 27 °C
Linoleum flooring is a natural product, which means it must be handled in precisely the same way as for heating under a wood floor.

Therefore, the heating cable or mat must be covered with a layer of tile mortar or self-levelling floor screed with a minimum thickness of 6 mm. This provides optimum distribution of the heat over the entire floor surface.

Product Choice

A linoleum floor can dry out if the temperature exceeds 27 °C. Using an advanced thermostat from DEVI, electric underfloor heating for linoleum floors provides a safe and comfortable combination.

A floor sensor with max. limit function must always be installed with wooden floor applications and for regulation.
We recommend one of the following thermostats: Devireg™ 550, Devireg™ 535, Devireg™532, Devireg™132 and Devilink for advanced, wireless and easy to understand heating

When renovating we recommend using Devimat™ DTIF or Devimat™/Deviflex™ DTIR to ensure a low building height when installing floor heating on an existing floor.

For new build where the cables or mats are installed in the concrete slab, we recommend using Deviflex™ DTIP, Deviflex™ DTIE, Devimat™ DTIP or Devimat™ DTIE.
