Different Electric Heating Methods

Heating Methods

Before installing underfloor heating you have to consider what kind of heating method is suitable for your needs.

There are different kinds of heating methods:

1) Direct Heating - heating cables or mats placed near the floor surface. The direct heating system may be installed as:

a) Total heating (also called primary heating) - floor heating as the only source of heat. Danfoss LX floor heating is an effective heating system that easily can heat up your house as the only heating source.

b) Comfort heating (also called supplementary heating) - floor heating as a supplement to other sources of heat e.g. radiators, fireplaces, etc.
Danfoss LX floor heating makes the floor comfortably warm and can be installed in all types of floors and with all kind of floor coverings.

2) Accumulating / storage /semi storage - electric floor heating that gets the maximum out of low tariff periods

Danfoss storage heating systems are designed for use on ground floor of houses where it is possible to use the electricity companies' low tariff periods fully.

The heating cables are embedded in a thick layer of concrete that accumulates the heat produced during the low tariff period.

Danfoss Floor Heating

Danfoss provides efficient floor heating for any room, be it at home, in your bathroom or livingroom, or virtually anywhere that requires comfortable warmth.

Danfoss floor heating is used in connection with new building or can be fitted on top of the old flooring, e.g. when renovating a bathroom.
